Who should be the villain in the Black Panther movie?
Many people were not familiar with Black Panther until this years Captain America Civil War let alone the characters villains, so here are 3 possible villains I think they could use.
1. Klaw
Most people probably missed Klaw in the movie Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Klaw had a small cameo selling Ultron vibranium. Klaw isn't someone many people are familiar with. Klaw was one of Black Panthers first villains he was a German soldier who snuck into Wakanda and attempted to steal vibranium but he was stopped by Black Panther. The movie version of the character does not appear to have any superpowers but the comic version has a number of superhuman abilities but mainly he has the power to produce sound waves.
2. Man Ape
Not many people rival Black Panthers physical prowess let alone surpass it. Man Ape is a native of Wakanda who wanted the throne and to gain strength he killed a legendary white gorilla and ate it's flesh gaining tremendous strength. Man Ape challenged Black Panther for the throne of Wakanda but was ultimately beaten.
3. White Wolf
White Wolf is Black Panthers adoptive brother and who hasn't been confirmed as of yet to exist in the MCU yet. With the casting of Michael B. Jordan in the Black Panther movie I assume he will have a major role so hopefully they're thinking White Wolf.

Places to buy comic books and movies.
1. BOOM Comics
Boom comics is a locally owned business that sells strictly comics, the employee's are friendly and they have a lot of knowledge about the comics they are selling. Boom comics allows you to buy, sell, and order any comics they don't have in stocks.
2. Barnes & Noble
Barnes & Noble has a pretty big selection of comics but most of the employee's there aren't avid comic book readers and won't give you the same type experience that you'll get at BOOM Comics.
3. Vintage Stock
Vintage stock sells comic books but at a smaller scale then BOOM Comics, and Barnes & Noble.

3 things Dr Strange brings to the MCU
1. The multiverse
Dr Strange introduced the multiverse in this movie which brings about a number of movies that could be made. Most Marvel fanboys immediately thought of the stories Marvel Zombies, or Old Man Logan.
2. Blade
With Dr Strange upping the weird factor introducing Blade the vampire slayer wouldn't be crazy. Blade has already been on the big screen but he could do for a reboot. Netflix has mentioned him as a possible candidate to get his own show eventually so now is as good a time as ever to introduce him.
3. Brother Voodoo
Brother Voodoo is one of Strange's closest allies is Voodoo. Voodoo is every bit as skilled as Strange and in many ways is the same as him just a darker version with a darker history. If he is ever introduced into the movies they'd have to be unique with him.
What will happen to Tony Stark?
Marvel has made it no secret that once Avenger's infinity war is released in 2019 Robert Downey Jr probably won't be playing Tony Stark anymore simply because of his age leading many to believe the character could possibly be killed off, recast, or replaced by another similar hero if so here is who I think should replace him.
Replace him with Riri Williams
Riri Williams is a new character in the Marvel comics universe who rivals the character of Tony Stark's intelligence, and charisma. She made her first appearance in May 2016 and was popular from the get go. She is first seen at M.I.T a school that Tony Stark owns stealing parts in order to make her own suit of the Iron Man armor. Tony catches on to her plan after several guards let him know one of his old armors is missing. Tony tracks the old armor down and witnesses Riri saving a child. Tony later confronts her and after witnessing her heroism gives her his blessing to become a superhero.

My top 3 heroes who have not made an appearance in the movies.
1. Black Bolt
Black Bolt is the leader of the inhuman's and he is supposed to be getting his own movie in the next few years. Black Bolt is a man of little to no words partially because his main power is his voice. Whenever Black Bolt speaks even the smallest of whispers his body releases enough energy to level a city. Black Bolts other abilities include superhuman strength, speed, and intellect.
2. Namor
Namor is one of Marvel's oldest heroes and he get's sort of a bad wrap because he is basically a glorified mermaid. Namor is so much more he's the king of Atlantis and one of the most powerful people in the Marvel universe he's taken on Thor and the Hulk even beating them on several occasions. He hasn't received a movie or even made a cameo partially because the rights to the character are kind of all over the place but once his rights are eventually settled in court he'll definitely hit the big screen.
3. The Sentry
The Sentry is pretty new to the Marvel universe only being around for about 15 years so he doesn't have pop culture on his side like other Marvel heroes do. He's basically Superman if Superman had mental health issues. Sentry suffers from split personality disorder one known as the Sentry and one personality known as The Void. He's a hard character to fit into any movie because of that and a lot of writers refuse to use him.

My top 3 villains who have not made an appearance in the movies yet.
1. Carnage
Carnage is a force to be reckoned with and also the Marvel universe's most sadistic villain. Carnage has all of the abilities of Spider-Man except he's more powerful in every way. Throughout the years he's terrorized New York city and fought the likes of the Avengers, X-men, and the Guardian's of the Galaxy and has won his fair share of battles. Carnage is bound to make an appearance in the movies eventually.
2. Galactus
Galactus was technically in the old Fantastic Four movies in the form of a cloud but that wasn't truly the Galactus comic book fans like me know and love. Marvel still doesn't technically have the rights to this character but in the next few years he should revert back to their ownership. Galactus is maybe the Marvel Universe's strongest villain his powers include matter manipulation, super strength, and the ability to devour and absorb entire planets.
3. Bullseye
Seeing as Bullseye is Daredevil's archnemesis it's more likely he'll appear in Daredevil's TV show rather than a movie but either way I'm happy. Bullseye is one of the world's most deadly assassin's. He doesn't have any powers but he is a highly skilled martial artist and marksman.

3 things I hate about the MCU
1. Bruce Banner
I've always been annoyed that the actor for Bruce Banner has changed 3 times. Bruce Banner as a character is pretty boring anyway but I think Edward Norton did the best job in making him decent. Eric Bana's version was to depressing, and Mark Ruffalo who is the current version of the character doesn't really seem in it entirely partially because the writing just ignores the events from the other two Hulk movies as if they never happened.
2. The Villain's
Outside of Loki I think most of the villain's of the movies are very forgettable and the majority of them end up dying. Ronan the accuser, Whiplash, Malekith, and the Red Skull have all been underwhelming and most people probably can't really put a face to the names.
3. The Mandarin
The Mandarin is Iron Man's arch enemy and while I understand what Marvel was trying to do with the Trevor Slattery twist for most people it just didn't work. The Mandarin was marvel's chance to finally establish another good villain outside of Loki. The Mandarin for the first hour of the movie was scary he was making Tony Stark look stupid on live television and executing people. Once the twist was revealed Iron Man 3 was still good but it blew a chance to establish an iconic villain for later uses in the movies.

Dr. Strange
Dr. Stephen Strange first appeared in Strange Tales #115. Dr Strange is one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel universe and he is not known very well by the average marvel fan. Strange was once a gifted but egotistical surgeon who cared about nothing but gaining wealth. He only performed surgery on the richest people and ignored people who actually needed his help more. One day Strange was on his way to meet up with a wealthy stockbroker who was interested in a business deal so Strange without paying attention to the driving condition skidded off the road and drove off a small cliff. Strange awoke hours later in a hospital with his several broken bones and serious nerve damage in his hands, with the damage to his hands his career as a surgeon was effectively over. Strange fell into a deep depression and spent all of his wealth on experimental surgeries to fix the nerve damage in his hands but nothing worked. A year or so later Strange had spent all of his money and went broke until one day in a bar he heard an old sailor talking about a mysterious Chinese healer known as the Ancient One, with nothing left to lose Strange pawned the last of his possessions for a one way trip to the Himalaya's when he got there he searched for days for any trace of the mysterious being until he got caught in a terrible ice storm. Strange retreated into a cave to avoid freezing and there he found the old man known as the Ancient One. The Ancient One healed Strange but in exchange Strange had to become his student and learn the art of magic, Strange agreed to become the wizards apprentice and as the months passed Strange began to realize he needed to become a better person. Strange began performing uncharacteristically selfless acts impressing the old wizard enough to truly be trained in the art of magic.
Based on the early trailers for the new movie coming out it looks like the movie will pretty much follow the comic origins. I'm really excited to see Dr. Strange on the big screen because he will bring a new and genre to the Marvel cinematic universe.

Iron Fist
With the arrival of the hit Netflix series Luke Cage, it's only natural I talk about Netflix's next Marvel series to hit Netflix in early 2017, Iron Fist. Daniel Rand AKA Iron Fist was created in 1974. Marvel created the character in response to the kung fu craze of the 1970s. Iron Fist knows nearly every form of martial arts along with the ability to channel chi into his fist allowing him to break through wood, rock, and even iron. Daniel Rand was born into a wealthy family of industrialist who were in search of the legendary city of K'un-L'un to learn of the martial arts in that city. While searching for the city Danny's father is killed by his best friend who wants the city's knowledge all to himself, after his fathers murder Danny and his Mother run away into the mountains where she sacrifices herself to save Danny from a pack of wolves. Danny eventually makes it to K'un-L'un where he is adopted by the citizen's and taught martial arts by them.

Luke Cage
Seeing as the show just came out I thought it was appropriate to do another post about one of my personal favorite lesser known characters in the Marvel universe. Luke Cage better known as Power Man at the time first appeared in June 1972 in the comic Luke Cage#1 Hero for hire he became very popular early for being one the first black superheroes in mainstream comic books. Initially Luke Cage wasn't portrayed as a goody two shoe superhero because he was initially involved in gangs and some thought he was promoting racial stereotypes, eventually the outrage died down and Cage later gained popularity among young african american's.
Luke Cage was born in Harlem, New York where as a kid he and his friend Willis Stryker were part of a gang to meet ends meet. Eventually Cage got tired of being apart of gangs and running from the law and quit which did not sit well with his friend Stryker. Months later Cage was framed by his old friend Stryker who had planted drugs in his apartment and had him arrested by the police. Cage was taken to jail where he was offered to be in an experiment for less jail time. Cage took the offer seeing it has his only way out. Off course with this being a comic book something went wrong during the experiment and Cage gained superpowers like super strength and invulnerable skin. Cage used his new powers to escape prison and went into hiding until an old friend of his convinced him to use his powers to make money allowing him to become a hero for hire.

Marvel's Netflix deal.
Following the disastrous 2003 Daredevil film Fox decided not to make another film allowing the rights to the character revert back to Marvel. In 2013 Marvel decided instead of making another Daredevil film they'd make a mini-series available for streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon prime but Netflix bought the rights to stream the show. Marvel was excited for the show because it allowed them to explore the darker aspects of the Marvel universe. Daredevil was an instant hit on Netflix causing Marvel and Netflix to order 4 more series, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and the Defenders.
My predictions for the MCU
Seeing has to how Marvel isn't anywhere near done with Marvel phase 3 of their movies I've got some super early predictions about phase 4.
1. Iron man will die.
Okay so Robert Downey Jr's contract will expire after Avengers infinity war part 2 and I am convinced that several characters will die and honestly I can't see anyone being able to take the reins of a character that Downey has made an icon.
2. Wolverine will return to Marvel studios.
Hugh Jackman is already confirmed to be wrapping up his final movie as Wolverine next year he's been playing the character for 17 years and Fox as pretty much exhausted him at this point. If Wolverine is going to stay popular a return to Marvel Studios is probably the best move for the character.
3. Daredevil will finally make an appearance in the marvel movies.
He is already dominating Netflix and everyone wanted him in Civil War but unfortunately Marvel couldn't fit him in the movie. All of the actors in the Netflix's shows have already spoken about their desire to appear in one of the upcoming movies so the ball is in Marvel's court.

Captain Marvel
In this post I'll be covering a pretty cool character who isn't widely known but she'll be playing a central role in the movies for the next few years. Carol Danvers was introduced in 1968 she was created by Roy Thomas and Gene Colan, when she first appeared she was just a regular civilian who no one thought much of. Later she was reintroduced as a shield agent who was in a accident that changed her DNA which gave her powers changing her into Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel's popularity never really took off as expected until around the later 2000's after the Civil War story line where she became leader of the Avengers for a brief time after Captain America died, since then her status has decreased back to a relative unknown among Marvel superheroes. She has the powers of super strength, speed, and flight.

The infinity stones
In the Marvel cinematic universe the infinity stones have played a significant role over the past couple of movies yet they've never really been explained. 6 infinity stones exist the mind, soul, power, time, reality, and space gem. Not much has been explained about the gems only that they each represent a part of the universe. Only 3 have been revealed so far the first was the Tesseract(The mind gem) which Loki used in the Avengers to control Hawkeye and control his army. In Thor the dark world the Aether(The reality gem) was used to try to bring Malekith's army to earth but he was stopped by Thor, Afterwards the gem was taken to the Collector and wasn't seen again until Guardians of the Galaxy. The last was just called the Orb(The power gem) which was used by Ronan the Accuser to fight against the Guardians of the Galaxy but he was beaten.

Marvel: Civil War comic vs movie
Civil War
The comic version of civil war has a way larger scale than in the movie, while some elements are similar they are very different stories mainly because of the end result of the story.
Comic vs Movie
The comic story line starts in Stamford, Connecticut where a group of young superhero's are filming a reality TV series where they capture super villains. In a confrontation with said villains they accidentally blow up a city killing hundreds of people. The incident causes the government to intervene proposing the super hero registration act. Iron Man is the first to sign and is made the enforcer of the act, while Captain America opposes the act feeling as if the act will undermine what being a hero actually stands for. Several battles take place throughout the story resulting in the death of several characters and affecting the status quo of major characters. Spider man in the comic is a much older established version of Spider man while the movie version is just getting started. Spider man in the comic is a major part of the story, to show his support of Iron Man he reveals his identity to the world on live TV. Spider man later comes to regret his decision and joins Captain America's side. In the final battle of Civil War nearly every hero in the marvel universe participates in the battle
causing huge damage to the surrounding area causing Captain America to forfeit the battle. A few days later Captain America is brought to Washington to stand trial but is fatally shot in the chest several times killing him thus bringing a true end to the war.
The comic version of the story is a much darker version of the story that truly made an impact for Marvel comics. Civil war was released nearly 10 years ago and even in the story lines today the impact is felt.

How Marvel Comics happened.
In the marvel comic universe there are hundreds of universe that exist but only a few of them are actually well known. For this blog I'm only gonna focus on the marvel comics universe known as Earth-616 which is the mainstream marvel universe. Most of the movie version's of the characters most closely relate to this universe than the other ones. It's a common misconception that Stan Lee created Marvel comics but it was actually a man named Martin Goodman but Marvel Comics was then known as Timely Publications. It started in 1939 when Marvel Comics #1 released
During the war comics were booming then in the post war era the sells dropped dramatically. Comics books then lacked any real diversity and no real message that people could relate to. In the 1950's Stan Lee then known as Stanley Lieber became interim editor it was then he teamed with Jack Kirby and together they developed the Fantastic Four. The Fantastic Four became a huge success becoming Marvel's "first family," After the success of the Fantastic Four, marvel took a more humanistic approach to there comic books by creating characters like Spider man who suffered from bullying, or the X-men who were portrayed as outcast allowing people to relate to the characters. Marvel continues to use this strategy even today tackling themes such as loss, revenge, courage, and even race.

How the Marvel Cinematic Universe happened.
Back in the mid to late 80's before Marvel Studios existed (The branch of marvel that makes the movies) Most studios in Hollywood wanted nothing to do with superhero movies including Marvel, so they attempted successfully sold the rights several of their characters including arguably their most important superhero, Spiderman. Marvel sold Spiderman to Sony pictures for around 7 million dollars and they went on to make a successful franchise off the character to the point where they broke several box office records. The success of Spiderman helped Sony pictures establish themselves in Hollywood and helped Marvel who was going through financial troubles at the time fund more comic books and start Marvel studios.
In 1993 Marvel partnered with the company ToyBiz and named Avi Arad the president and CEO of Marvel films which would later become Marvel Studios. In 2005 under Arad's leadership Marvel Studios began seriously making movies and he was tasked with the making of Iron Man. Iron man over the years had shifted from studio to studio for almost 15 years and had been stuck in development hell. Filming for the movie was difficult partially because very few writers wanted to work on the movie because of the character being an unknown, to combat this notion Arad started focus groups to get rid of the notion that Iron man was a man in a suit rather than just a robot. After the groups proved successful in educating the public more writers were willing to work on the film therefore starting the first Marvel cinematic universe film.

Hi everyone! My name is Isaiah, and if you've found myself on my blog you're either forced to be here or you actually want to know about some key differences between the Marvel cinematic universe and the Marvel comics universe. Growing up the only things I was ever reading were comic books so over the years I've noticed a lot of key differences in the movies. Throughout the course of my blog posts I'll go over heroes, villains, history, and key plot differences.
